Marinette County Snowmobile Trail Conditions
Posted: January 7, 2026 am
Pemenee River Riders: Snowmobile and year round ATV/UTV trails in (Zone 1) are located in the Pembine, Beecher, areas of Northeast Marinette County. www.pemeneerr.com or follow us on Facebook
Base: 4”to 6” Status: Open Groomed: Daily Condition: Good
Narrative from club reporter: Trails are open and being groomed daily!! Trails are in good condition The snow on Monday should help to cover some of the thinner areas. We have a good base, hoping the warmer temps/rain we are getting doesn’t hurt them too much.
Near North Trail Riders: Snowmobile and ATV/UTV trails are located in (Zone 1) the Athelstane and Silver Cliff areas. www.nearnorthtr.com or follow us on Facebook
Base: 3 inches Status: Open Groomed: Yes (panning) Condition: Fair
Narrative from club reporter: We got about 3” of snow Sunday night. We’re panning and trails are in fair condition as there are some icy corners.
Dun-Good Riders: Snowmobile and year round ATV/UTV trails are located in (Zone 1) in the Goodman-Dunbar of Northwest Marinette County areas. www.dungood.org or follow us on Facebook
Base: 3” to 6” Status: Open Groomed: When temps allow Condition: Poor to Good
Narrative from club reporter:
Dun-Good Riders trails are open with a 3”-6” base, trails are in poor to good condition. We can use more to help add to the base, corners are icy and the warmup this week is not helping the cause. We have been grooming while temps allow, when it is above 28 degrees the groomers do more damage than good because riders are on them before they can set up (6+hours to set at 28 degrees) resulting in losing base, so it may be bumpy in some areas until things cool down. Ride safe, ride right and slow down in the corners.
Iron Snow Shoe: Snowmobile and year round ATV/UTV trails are located in (Zone 2) Northwest of Crivitz, in the Twin Bridge, Crooked Lake, Silver Cliff and Thunder Mountain areas of Marinette County. www.ironsnowshoe.com or follow us on Facebook
Base: Several inches Status: OPEN Groomed: Yes Condition: Good
Narrative from club reporter: Iron Snow Shoe: All trails are open & being groomed on a regular basis. Trails are in Good Early Season Riding condition. We are asking that you stay off the trails during the warmup this week to maintain the base we have. Evening riding is suggested since it will be getting into the 20’s. ATV/UTV’s are NOT allowed on our trails when temps are warmer than 32 degrees. They are predicting more snow tonight & Friday night into Saturday. Think Snow & Cold Temps!!! Ride Safe & Have Fun!!
Ranger City Riders: Snowmobile Only trails are located in (Zones 1 & 2) Amberg-Beecher-Wausaukee areas of central Marinette County. www.rangercityriders.com or follow us on Facebook
Base: 3”to 5” Status: Partially Open Groomed: Yes (as temps allow) Condition: Fair
Narrative from club reporter: Our West Trail (Corridor 3) is now OPEN and panned entirely to Wausaukee as of last night. Our East Trail (Corridor 1) is still a work in progress as club volunteers are working every day to brush and clear the trail of deadfalls. There are also some swamps that need to be considered as well. The Hazelnut Trail (club trail) is being worked on also. If all goes well these trails may be open by the weekend rendering out entire trail system as OPEN?! Trail conditions depend on the battle between more snow forecasted and the unseasonably warm temps we are experiencing. Let’s hope the snow wins!!!
River Road Riders: Snowmobile Only trails are located in (Zone 3) Marinette, Peshtigo, Wausaukee, Crivitz, Porterfield, areas of eastern Marinette County. www.riverroadriders.org follow us on Facebook
STATUS AS OF 1/7/2026 - TRAILS ARE CLOSED
Kumalong Sno-Riders: Snowmobile Only trails are located in (Zone 3) Coleman, Pound, Peshtigo, Crivitz, areas of southern Marinette County. www.kumalongsnoriders.com follow us on Facebook
Base: 0”to 0” Status: Closed Groomed: No Condition: Poor
Narrative from club reporter: Trails remain CLOSED. We received another 2-3 inches of snow over the weekend. Club members are out packing swamps and checking over trails but unfortunately the warm weather this week will keep our trail system CLOSED.
THINK SNOW!
River Road Riders Snowmobile Club of Marinette County was established in 1965. We groom and maintain 180 miles of trails from the Bay of Green Bay to Peshtigo, Crivitz, Middle Inlet, Wausaukee, Marinette, Koss Bridge, around Lake Mary and Lake Noquebay. We are a family oriented club and our membership hovers around 200. Our club events include conducting the youth snowmobile and ATV safety course in January; our Annual Meeting and Fall Kick-Off Picnic for our members, land owners and sponsors; an overnight club trip; a trail side picnic and winter bonfire; and an end-of-season Meat Raffle and 50/25/25 Raffle Ticket drawing. Find the RRR snowman on the trail, take a picture and submit it to the club to be entered into the end of season raffle.
